Almost everything in Texas is in Central Time; only two counties in one corner of the west, El Paso and Hudspeth observe Mountain Time.

Central Daylight Time (CDT) is a North American time zone in use from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November during Daylight Saving Time (DST). Central Standard Time (CST) is used during the remainder of the year.

The clocks go forward by one hour at 08:00 AM on 13 March 2022, jumping from 08:00 AM to 09:00 AM (so called "spring forward"). This marks the beginning of CDT. There's more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings.
If you're not from our beautiful state, you may be surprised to learn that there are two Texas time zones. Right in the western corner of our state, you'll find both Hudspeth and El Paso Counties fall in the Mountain Time Zone.
